We should turn the M1 from London all the way up to Leeds into the Appian Way circa 71BC, with MPs lining the hard shoulder at one mile intervals all the way up, crows plucking at their eyeballs. Then they'll think twice before lining their own pockets with our money again, that's for damn sure.
